ADVANCE for Nurses' Bob Carll, senior regional account executive, traveled to Charlottesville, VA, in April  to meet the 33 award-winning nurses on the South 7 med/surg/oncology unit at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Carll had the pleasurable task of presenting this unit with a plaque proclaiming them the 2009 ADVANCE for Nurses Best Nursing Team. The nurses, led by Setour Dillard, RN, OCN, nurse manager, were excited the entry written by Mina Ford, MSN, RN, OCN, nurse educator, earned the unit the title of Best Nursing Team. The team decked out in colorful pastel scrubs received their plaque and goodies, such as a pin proclaiming them Best Team, from Carll. Then being a dedicated group, they went back to work. Jay Wiley, ADVANCE photographer, captured the awards ceremony and nurses going about their jobs  of patient care and documentation in this slide show.
