Raritan Bay Medical Center is simply the best hospital to work. There are so many things that I could talk about but the one thing that stands out is the family friendly atmosphere that exist. Patients and family is our number one priority but the staff and management team really work well together to create an atmosphere that makes you want to come to work. The ICU night crew is the best. I enjoy going to work because of the place and people that I work with.

I have worked w/ White Memorial medical center in the heart of East LA and within a year i have found a new family working w/ a goal of giving excellent care for our patients, and I have seen co-workers who have made every effort to strive for excellence. I love working in this facility it made me feel the sense of belongingness and satistfaction in my career as well as seeing patients who's made us feel that we created a significant change not only in their health but to their total being. As we continue to evolve as one of the hospitals having not only the latest technology I have seen the efforts of the management and officials to continue striving for the best to God be the glory for giving me this opportunity to work w/ wonderful people.

I have worked at North Shore Forest Hills Hospital and must say that they treat there nurses horrible. The patient nurse ratio there is 10-12 on a day shift and if you dischare any patients you will get admissions. So on most day you may have 10-14/16 patients. The most so far I have had there is 16; lets not forget about the break time. Most time nurses don't take their breakfast and lunch break because we also have to do patient care, document on every patien, do flow sheet for every patient and care maps for every patient. The 7am-7pm shift is more like 7am-8/8:30pm with only 30min paid overtime that they do not want to pay you for unless a supervisor or manager signs it. The theme is now is that we should be thankful we have a job and stop complaining and stop being lazy. Nurses week we did not get anything, not even a thank you card, that shows us how much we are worth to North Shore @ Forest Hills.
