With so many ranking systems available to compare hospitals' various attributes, you may wonder why another one is needed. The simple answer: When is the last time anyone asked your opinion on the subject?
Nurses are the backbone of hospitals everywhere. As such, you're in the best position to offer an informed view of your facility. Thus was born the ADVANCE for Nurses Readers' Choice survey.
From March through July, voting was open online, where readers ranked a selected hospital in areas that matter to nurses: quality of care, organizational culture, professional development, communication and retention efforts.
Meanwhile, in the special Oct. 22-29 print issues of ADVANCE, survey participants and leaders at Readers' Choice facilities provided an inside look at what makes these facilities stand out.
