Atlanta Nurse Writes Children's Activity Book
Katie Hart Smith, MBA, BSN, RN, a metro Atlanta resident and pediatric healthcare professional, has written and illustrated Move Me. Move Me. 1-2-3, the first book in the new Move Me children's book series. The book is a collection of children's stories and poems designed to promote physical activity, creativity, interactivity and movement in young children. The stories are intended to be read aloud and reenacted in a standing position.
"As an advocate for children's health issues, I continue to identify, create and develop new ways to promote health, fitness and wellness in children and their families. Move Me. Move Me. 1-2-3 is ideal for anyone who is looking for new and creative ways to keep their children active and healthy," Smith said.
Smith also is author/illustrator of the From the Heart series, an ongoing charity that donates all proceeds from the sale of the books to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
