Recognizing the rapid growth in cases of healthcare-associated infections (HAI) like MRSA and ventilator-associated pneumonia being transmitted in hospitals, Kimberly-Clark Healthcare has created a Web site called "Not on My Watch" at www.haiwatch.com.
The healthcare products maker says the goal for the Web site is to educate patients and healthcare professionals about HAI prevention and to eliminate these preventable illnesses and their often tragic consequences.
Kimberly-Clark products are sold in more than 150 countries. With brands such as Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend, the company holds a No. 1 or No. 2 market share in more than 80 countries worldwide.
