Questions started with "If applicable...." and then did not allow you to progress if question was not applicable. I am in administration and do not routinely see patients nor do I write prescriptions, therefore no answer listed was appropriate.

gini West,  clinical Care DirectorFebruary 02, 2017

My practice involves office, hospital rounds, and clinical research. All areas of practice are not able to be selected.

Alice Burress,  ARNPFebruary 02, 2017

We as nurses are still not paid what we are worth. We are still viewed as a "woman's" profession and reach our cap salary quite quickly. The work we do makes all the difference in outcomes, but we do not get compensated for all we do.

Janet Wagner,  RN,  Stamford HospitalFebruary 01, 2017
Stamford, CT

The survey needs an option for "none" for the question how many prescriptions do you write and how many patients do you see each day. I work in hospital quality and safety so these questions do not apply.

Just for clarification, the survey asked how many patients that I see in a day, 0 was not an option and the question needed to be answered. Consider putting in "none" on the question.

Also - nurses should consider a clinical research career. It is important that nurses ethics are in this area.

Lori-Jane Leo,  Clinical Research Associate,  CROJanuary 31, 2017
Nationwide, FL

Very surprised Research is not listed--lots of nurses and allied personnel in that field.

There needed to be option of "0" for number of patients seen daily. My job doesn't require me to see patients.

Beverly ,  RN,  IMOJanuary 31, 2017

There is a considerable lack of financial incentive to teach Nursing. Most here, who have started in the last 10 years after doing hospital/home health work took a major pay cut to become educators.
