Volunteer musicians do more than carry a tune; they deliver it in person in a New York-based program called "Musicians on Call." The program features artists who perform the healing power of music at the bedside of patients at a number of healthcare facilities in New York, Philadelphia, Nashville and Miami. Both artists and patients believe music provides comfort during hospital stays.
