Mobile-Friendly Interface Created for Nurses

Sherpath, a first-of-its-kind nursing and allied health education platform, was launched by Elsevier in July. The platform integrates content, assessment and simulation modules via a mobile-friendly interface for nurses and health aides.

"As digital learners, healthcare students now require shorter and more targeted, media-rich content accessible on their mobile devices," said John Danaher, president of Elsevier Education. "And faculty now require data and analytics that eliminate the guesswork associated with teaching and student comprehension.

During the past few years, Elsevier has been testing Sherpath in 26 pilot programs at higher education institutions across the country. Sherpath was created to combine content modules with assessments, supporting remediation through its unique program.

Danahar added, "Addressing these evolving educational needs in a digital and mobile age was the fundamental inspiration for the development of Sherpath."
