Honor Society Awards Grants to Advance Nursing Research

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) makes nursing research possible through its grants program.

Recently, STTI awarded 18 grants (including two co-sponsored grants) totaling $80,000.

Topics of the research projects include, among many others:

  • helping low-literate adults after hip replacement surgery;
  • risk for post-traumatic stress disorder in families with relatives in intensive care; and 
  • canine companionship during sexual-abuse interviews of children.
