The Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future has unveiled it 'Portrait of Thanks' mosaic for 2012.
Designed to thank nurses for their hard work and dedication, the mosaic is a collage of nearly 10,000 individual photos of nurses and nursing students that forms a single image.
The mosaic can be found online at www.discovernursing.com/portraitofthanks.
Once on the site, users can search through the individual photos of nurses from around the country by keyword, including by name, hometown and specialty.
The entire mosaic image and/or individual photos can also be shared via Facebook and Twitter.
California nurses and nursing students make up more than 15 percent of the mosaic with more than 1,800 photos; followed by Illinois and Texas. The photos include nurses who work in more than 30 nursing specialties.
What's more. as part of the mosaic initiative, the Johnson & Johnson Campaign announced a donation of $12,500 to the Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association (FNSNA).
For every photo that was submitted to the project, the Campaign pledged $1 in matching funds for student nursing scholarships. More than 1,000 nursing students across the nation submitted photos for the mosaic.
