Jennifer Miles, BS, RN, was recently named manager of the year at Shore Health System. She serves as nurse manager of the 2 east multispecialty care unit at Memorial Hospital at Easton.
"Jenn brings innovative system- and process-related ideas that are rooted in the real processes of care delivery and nursing practice to the teams that she works on," wrote a colleague who nominated Miles for the award. "She is quick to grasp the organization's goals, her team's part and her own part in helping us to achieve those objectives."
Miles began her career in the surgical unit in 1988. She worked as a staff nurse in the surgical unit and same day/short stay/post-anesthesia care unit for 11 years before taking a role as clinical coordinator for the multi-specialty care unit. She was named nurse manager in 2005.
