Englewood, NJ, Nurses, Students Help Fight Hunger

The Center for Nursing Practice at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Englewood, NJ, launched the Center for Food Action's "Weekend Snack Packs," a new pilot program that aims to combat child hunger.

Suzanne Zafran, MSN, RN, joint practice clinician, (third from left) and several nursing students volunteered their time to help pack special care packages for distribution to area school children. The packages contain healthy food for students to consume on weekends when school sponsored lunch is not available to them. courtesy Englewood Hospital and Medical Center
