Officials at Cape Fear Valley Health System, Fayetteville, NC, are turning to the public for help in naming its new facility expected to be built in is Hoke County.
To submit a suggestion, visit www.healthcareforhoke.com and click through to the survey link. Visitors can then choose one of three names or submit their own name.
Submitted votes will reportedly determine the name for Cape Fear Valley's proposed full-service hospital on U.S. 401. The facility has filed a certificate of need to build the new hospital, according to officials, which will help the growing healthcare needs of Hoke and southwest Cumberland counties. The 41-bed facility would include a 16-bed emergency department, two operating rooms and four birthing suites for obstetrical patients. It would also have a broad range of imaging and diagnostic services, including a CT scanner and digital X-ray equipment.
After voting, visitors can download letters of support to submit to state planners in support of building the hospital. If approved, the hospital would reportedly result in the creation of approximately 300 new jobs and bring healthcare-related industry to one of the fastest growing regions in the state.
