Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth has received the 2011 Premier AEIX Risk Management Award from Premier Inc of Charlotte, NC. The program which helped Texas Health Southwest attain this distinction involves the prevention of mother-to-child infections of such diseases as Hepatitis B, syphilis, HIV or group B streptococcal septicemia. Projects that qualify for this award demonstrate enhanced patient safety, quantifiable results and reduced cost.

Texas Health Southwest and five other hospitals in the Texas Health system have also recognized by Premier as top performers in the QUEST: High Performing Hospitals program. QUEST is a project focused on performance improvement by hospitals nationwide.
