Glen Ellyn, IL - College of DuPage Announces 2nd Annual Nursing Practice and Education Symposium

"Beyond Cooperation to Collaboration," the second annual Nursing Practice and Education Symposium will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013, 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Presented by College of DuPage Nursing Department and Continuing Education, symposium topics will include:

• Outcomes Assessment in Simulation Learning
• NCSBN Simulation Study Update
• Collaboration Between Nursing Academia and Practice
• Dedicated Education Units
• NCSBN Transition to Practice Project Update
• Valid and Reliable Simulation Assessment Tools
• Teaching Cultural Diversity
• Educational Advancement for Nurses in Illinois (Panel Presentation)

Registration and exhibits open at 7:30 a.m. at the College of DuPage in the Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 2000.

The keynote presentation, Interdisciplinary Simulation-From Concept to Implementation, will be presented by Suzan E. Kardong-Edgren, PhD, RN, ANEF, research associate professor, and Jody DeMeyer, endowed chair in nursing, Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
