Developed by nurses for nurses to address the escalating shortage in the U.S., the Versant RN Residency i s a customized, outcome-driven, evidence-based educational solution that develops and manages the professional advancement of new graduate RNs who are joining the clinical workforce.
The residency - the only of its kind in the U.S. - is designed to bridge the learning gap that exists between traditional nursing education institutions and real-world clinical settings by including:
- Preceptors-Provide practice-based and classroom-setting clinical training;
- Mentors-Support new RN graduates emotionally, offer career development guidance and aid in the social integration of the new RN into the hospital's nursing community and employee hierarchy;
- Debriefers-Facilitate relationship-building and emotional support conversations between cohort members.
Across the board, graduates of the Versant RN Residency have confirmed a greater commitment to the nursing profession as a whole, as well as a sense of increased loyalty to their employers for investing in their long-term professional development.
