I cannot believe that with 12 years of experience in long-term care I make the same average salary as a nurse in Montana. I know that my salary is below average for the state, but I live and work in an economically depressed area

I am a LPN working in an assisted living faculity. I am working as a med tech but would rather be working as a LPN. I had cancer and have some limitations.

I am PRN status at a for-profit large well-known hospital corp. I have worked in FL for 8 yrs for them at the same salary of $27 per hour with no benefits. This rate has been paid for over 15 yrs now and I am told I 'already make too much' when I ask about a raise. I have 17 yrs experience in hospital patient care between ER and Outpatient Surgery.
