My husband & I happened to be visiting NYC that day. Having no relevent skills, we felt enormously useless in the face of such enormous public need. When I was downsized a few years later, that feeling of uselessness inspired me to enter Nursing. I'm still too inexperienced to try CC or ED, but someday, I will save lives.
