ELIGIBILITY

Any group of nurses working together as a team: units, committees, chapters, etc.
The majority of the team members must be RNs.

Winners will be notified in March 2013. A panel of your peers will decide which teams get the honor of 2013 Best Nursing Team.

First I want to say to Kenneth above that I feel your frustration. If older nurses take off for any reason they are not accepted back. Anyways, I was with a team in ICU and we were haveing trouble with a MD who voiced his opinion every chance he could against a nurse infront of his patients. Our team swore we must stop this and gathered in the room the next incident and sang Stop in the name of Love. The patient laughed and was no longer uncomfortable, the attending nurse was relieved and even though the MD was frustrated and left the room. He came back a more pleasant person realizing his behavior. Kudos for my team being strong enough and open enough to actually go through with it. Love all you guys from Spring Hill, FL.. Mary

I found it interesting that you pictured a nursing team composed of three men and three women. Since males compose probably less than 10 percent of the nursing population nationwide, how did you decide that this was an accutate portrayal? I also noticed no older nurses. Although hospitals and other employers refuse to hire aging nurses, they have not found it optimal to automatically fire every nurse when they turn fifty or sixty. They may be trying.

During the big storm here at the jersey shore our cna's did a outstanding job in all the hardships they themselves experienced . I think they need applause.
