Wtih out mental health there can be no health. Now that we are assesing mental well being, mental health history and suicide probility in all acute care areas will you help expand that knowledge base with more on Mental Health issues. We all are seeing more of mental health needs in the general hospital population. Even in OB pts are on psy. drugs and have are being seen for mental health issues. Most nurses and doctors have little good knowledge of disorders, behaviors, and what to watch for. We don't know these meds. side effects. We have no idea of how to educate patients and families on mental health issues.
