Nursing Students & New Grads: Where will you be in 10 years?

We asked nursing students and new grads to tell us where they will be professionally in 10 years, and did they deliver!

The winning entry has been selected and will appear in the 2013 edition of ADVANCE for Nurses Serving New Nurse Graduates and Students, to be published in March 2013.

Nursing has been my number one passion,I've been a critical care nurse, a telemetry nurse, taught nursing at the local community college, have done travel nursing. Over the years I have totally submerge myself in nursing, but now my only dream and goal for the next 10 years is to be an author for nursing text books. I have written nursing poems that have be published in Anthologies. My life long destiny would come to fruition as the author of a tremendous nursing text book.

I Love helping people I don't know.. Somewhat I learned from my parents heart.
I levelled up and found myself pacing fast in a crowded Emergency Room. Also Loves precepting new RN's in the Unit. In the next 10 fulfilling years by then I would have accomplished much, travelled around volunteering my free time, enjoying my passion for teaching and my 26th years of Above & beyond Nursing Life.. Is a priceless treasure that Iam sure to achieve.

I am a nurse on the other side of my career, with 31 years working.In 10 years, hopefully retired, fat and sassy and telling my stories of the good old golden days of nursing.No, not a student, yet a perpetual student of the World, the Universe,learning every day, nursing is more than school, more than money or fame.It is all about love and human caring,being whole,blogging my heart out to the Universe.
