AHA Offers Correction on 2018 Guidelines for Management of Patients After Stroke


Changes based on feedback from clinical stroke community

The American Heart Association’s “2018 Guidelines for the Early Management of Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke” published ahead of print on January 24.

In the interim, experts have found several points for clarification. In response, the AHA offered an update seen here last week, while clarifying that the document remains a work in progress.

The AHA re-established its support for the guidelines outlined within the document, and clarified that a revised version will be available in the coming weeks.
