View Comments (3)Print ArticleEmail Article

Nursing offers such a diversity of practice.

From bedside to classroom to mobile clinic to helicopter to domestic or foreign relief missions to entrepreneur to research ? this doesn't even scratch the surface of options.

This special feature highlights nurses in so many settings and practices who exemplify the Essence of Nursing, combining knowledge and critical thinking, advocacy and leadership, and caring and empathy.

Distilled to the essence and simply said: heart, mind and hands of nursing.

Thank you for writing the article "Steel Magnolia" last year. My mom was the best mom in the world. She is with Jesus and that's where she wanted to be. Also, she is in our hearts and will never leave us.

I think the article, "Steel Magnolia" is such a wonderful tribute to a remarkable person. Thank you to Mrs. Davey's nursing family for the beautiful words that definitely describe the angel she is. She would be so grateful for this.

Great Job!
