0

Interested in becoming a Guided Care (GC) nurse? If you are flexible, a good communicator, good at problem solving, are culturally competent with experience in geriatric and community nursing, would enjoy coaching patients and caregivers to self-manage their illnesses and health issues, then you may be a good candidate for a Guided Care nurse certificate.

A 6-week GC nursing course, developed by the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing in collaboration with the Lipitz Center for Integrated Health Care at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with funding from the John A. Hartford Foundation, is a self-directed online program except for five scheduled Webinars. It is offered through the Institute (www.ijhn.jhmi.edu). Tuition is $1,900 and includes all course materials and activities, the online examination and the certificate awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

The course will be offered online from Aug. 17 to Sept. 25 and Oct. 12 to Nov. 20.
