The National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners are pleased to announce our new collaboration with the National Institute for Dermatology (NID).

In response to the needs of our national NP and PA communities, we have joined forces with NID to bring you comprehensive dermatology education that is convenient for you. We will be traveling to states around the country offering dermatology workshops and lectures.

In addition, NPs who cannot make our national conference will be able to attend the didactic portion of the NADNP Dermatology Certificate Program in your own state.

Debra Shelby, PhD, DNP, FNP-BC, DNC

Debra Shelby is the president and founder of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (NADNP). She is also the chief operating officer and founding managing member of Florida Specialty Dermatology Care, LLC. In addition, she is the affiliate director of the University of South Florida DNP Dermatology Residency Program and a dermatology specialist at Suncoast Skin Solutions. Shelby has been practicing dermatology since she graduated as a family nurse practitioner in January 2000. In 2006, she was accepted into the DNP doctoral program at the University of South Florida. For her doctoral project, she developed the nation’s first DNP specialty residency in dermatology and became the first resident to complete the program in 2008. Shelby has focused her academic and clinical experiences toward the treatment of skin cancers and was educated by the top melanoma researchers, scientists, physicians and surgeons at Moffitt Cancer Center.
