1. State the prevalence of hypertension in America and the importance of primary, secondary and tertiary interventions to treatment.
2. Describe the differences between primary and secondary hypertension related to the treatment options, based on the recommended guidelines.
3. Explain how to educate patients about nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic treatment of hypertension to ensure optimal outcomes.
