Using Graphic Waveforms in Homecare: Help Synchronize the Ventilator to the Patient and Identify Clinical or Mechanical Issues in the Homecare Setting

Graphic wave form monitoring is typically used to manage ventilators in the hospital, but now, the iVent 101 makes this monitoring available in homecare. At home, graphic monitoring assists in detecting leaks, autoPEEP or changes in the patient’s lung compliance or airway resistance. Graphic monitoring also detects whether the patient is over-riding the set flow or having to force exhalation.

Graphic wave form monitoring can be instrumental in helping to potentially reduce the transition time from hospital to home and helping to potentially reduce the frequency of unscheduled hospital readmissions for ventilator-associated problems.

Following the presentation, our speaker will take part in an interactive Q&A session. Please come prepared with your questions on graphic wave form monitoring.
